The Holland Account

What's the meaning behind the band's name?
Dan - The name is an abstract manifestation that we create concepts out of... all the concepts stem from a conspiracy, The Holland Account.

How the band started??
Dan - Brandon & Gumby assembled the band originally in 2004, the current line up being concrete since June of 2010 **
Nick - I believe that our current lineup feeds the energy for really coming up with very creative material.

What's the message to transmit with your music??
Question authority and be your own voice of reason.

What's your method at the time of writing a song??
Dan- A lot of listening, experimentation, and brainstorming. 90% mental activity 10% application

Which is your music influences??
Dan- We could list a long list of bands but I find that we find each other to be more influential than particular bands

What plans do you guys have for the future??
Dan- Writing and constantly improving our human to music relationship. Hopefully our message is well received by a herd of music loving nerds.

If you guys were stranded in the middle of nowhere after a show or while on tour. The help is 65 miles away from where you guys are, ¿Who would you guys send to look for help? And if while the rest wait, there's no food and the only way to feed yourself is by eating each other, ¿Who would you eat first?
Dan- We travel in teams...Dan & Gumby would make the trek (reasons known) and Brandon is definitely the most edible in terms of protein content.
Nick - Brandon is lean like a deer. HA HA!

Which country you guys would love to play?
Dan- Australia and the Netherlands (duh).
Nick - I know it seems like a long distance, but for as popular as progressive music is becoming, it seems like it could be a great spot for us.

With which bands you guys would love to share stage??
Nick & Dan- Karnivool, Deftones, Dead Letter Circus, Sevendust, Chevelle, 311, Soundgarden, Nonpoint, A Perfect Circle, Killswitch Engage

Are you guys OK, with the direction the band is going actually?
Dan-You know it! This is a journey just like any other creative project. It's never at it's peak and it's really helped us develop an approach to life that most would take 100 years to digest.
Nick- I think "OK" puts it quite lightly... I am excited with where we are heading! I feel the most ambitious as I have ever felt with any project, with these guys. The sky is the limit and we plan on going beyond it.
